It is said that making music is like making love. Certainly most musicians use their hands which gives them a potent skill set as a lover, yet so do carpenters and mechanics and chefs. On technicalities, a selfish lover is a selfish lover, regardless of whether they are a musician or not. Yet music and love making have a long and interwoven history both having the ability to raise one or many to ecstatic heights and spiritual transformation, both having the ability to open the heart to find the deep human resource of compassion.
Here Are Three Important Things That Music Making And Love Making Share:
"Not only does play promote and aid in physical development (such as hand–eye coordination), but it also aids in cognitive development and social skills, and can even act as a stepping stone into the world of integration, which can be a very stressful process."
Richard Alleyne, Science Correspondent
One of the most important qualities of both good love making and good music playing is heart centred presence. Presence enables us to be both passive and active at the same time. To think, process and do in an integrated holistic manner. A quality of presence allows us to understand our suffering or anothers and dip into the deep wisdom of the heart, and also to shine in our authenticity, the truth of who we are.
